Charcoal kiln CK-7 “EURO” is a continuation of charcoal kilns of the “EURO” series, which are designed for low-temperature pyrolysis of carbon-containing materials (of plant origin) in order to obtain high-quality charcoal and thermal energy. The model went on sale in 2018.

Description of the kiln

The CK-7 “EURO” charcoal kiln includes 2 drying/pyrolysis chambers that are connected to the chimney with a deflector and to the furnace through the control room, control and measuring devices and an automated control system, a plaform for transporting the trolleys, trestles for loading raw material and unloading charcoal and an electric winch. The chambers can be operated in the “DRYING/PYROLYSIS” modes. Complete combustion of the pyrolysis gas ensures environmental safety of the process. All control units are mechanized. The main operating parameters are permanently recorded, which allows to analyze the performance of the kiln.

Raw materials used for pyrolysis:

  • lump wood waste of logging and woodworking industries
  • wood of soft and hard species
  • fuel briquettes (Pini-Kay, Nielsen, nestro, ruff)
  • agricultural waste
  • shell of various nuts (coconut, walnut, hazelnut, etc.)
  • other waste of plant origin

The new felt furnace provides a “quick start” – it takes only 30-40 minutes to put the furnace into operation. It significantly reduces fuel consumption and the time required to start the process. This factor makes it possible to reduce the amount of time required for commissioning and spend more time training personnel and organizing work on the site.

Low heat loss provides high efficiency due to the fact that all the heat is used in the process, i.e. there is a significant economy in fuel consumption.

Low weight and absence of brick lining ensure that there is no damage to the furnace lining during transportation.

* The parameter values depend on the following factors: wood moisture content, wood species (minimum moisture content - poplar, maximum moisture content - hornbeam, Crimean oak) and size of the piece. Increased humidity (in comparison with the nominal level of 55%) significantly reduces the output and increases the firewood consumption of the furnace. At a relative humidity of 75% (freshly cut hardwood during the sap flow period) the productivity decreases by 15-20%.
